Yer Liberals, No. 3
For the better part of a year and a half, Liberals have been screeching about how Sanders wasn't "a real Democrat", saying he was "damaging" the Democrats and that he and his supporters should leave the party -- and after a year and a half of bullying, public insults, blame-shifting, gaslighting and other abuse, most progressive Democrats and other Left constituencies are thinking that ditching the Democratic Party sounds like a helluvan idea.
Needless to say these days, Liberals aren't getting the reaction they're hoping for from the Left on that point and, of course, the Liberals are having kind of a hard time getting their heads around it. Seems that finally, Liberal Democrats and the Left have reached common ground – just not in the way Liberals wanted.
And by the way, I need to send a shout-out and huge-ass props to Nina Illingworth, one of my favorite Left bloggers, who busts balls with straight raw truth, written in the kind of no-bullshit, smash-mouth style I really dig. A tweet she posted a week or so ago pretty much handed me this gag on a plate. Don't forget to check out her blog, and toss a few bucks in her tip jar if you can. Thanks again, Nina.

It's LIT! 4 Arrests at DCMJ U.S. Capitol "Smoke-In"
4 Arrested at DCMJ U.S. Capitol "Smoke-In" Apr 24 2017 from Mike Flugennock on Vimeo.
After last Thursday's arrestees were freed after being jailed on obviously bogus charges, the activists of DCMJ took it to the Capitol steps this afternoon for their "smoke-in" civil disobedience to demand Federal descheduling of cannabis and an end to Congressional interference of DC citizens' right to make their own laws. Four activists were arrested for lighting up on the East Lawn of the Capitol.

US Capitol Police Harass DCMJ "Joint Session", Arrest At Least 6
US Capitol Cops Harass 4/20 "Joint Session", arrest several from Mike Flugennock on Vimeo.
Looks like we got more free publicity than we could handle today at DCMJ's "Joint Session" legal joint giveaway for US Capitol employees at 1st and Constitution Avenue NE, across the street from the Capitol.
Although they were set up on DC territory, on the sidewalk in front of the Reserve Officers' Association building, US Capitol Police chose to leave Federal land and come into DC to harass and arrest several volunteers involved in checking ID's and giving out joints.

Won't Somebody Think Of The Children?
When Uncle Sam starts waving the bloody dead children around, you know they're scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to lame excuses for war. It's a wheeze that goes back to World War I and earlier. It's as if they aren't even trying anymore.
Here's House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi -- a classic craven, crawling Democrat if ever there was one -- with just the kind of lame, basic horseshit that really sticks in my goddamn' craw:
America cannot stand on the sidelines and watch as children suffer. We must act. https://t.co/lbec1D8Yos
— Nancy Pelosi (@NancyPelosi) April 7, 2017
There is no doubt in my mind that America has the relentlessness and tenacity to fight for the world’s children. https://t.co/lbec1D8Yos

Another Herblock Homage
...in which The Kid tries to "bend it like Herblock".
At the instigation of my old BBF and comrade Adam Eidinger at DCMJ, here's a Herblock homage depicting DC's special friends, US Reps. Andy Harris and Jason Chaffetz on the news that 60% of Americans surveyed now support legal marijuana (Gallup, October 2016), on the occasion of the April 24th Capitol Smoke-In.
